Advanced Air Mobility has the potential to significantly improve healthcare access across Utah.

Many rural communities are located far from major trauma centers, which are concentrated along the Wasatch Front. As a result, patients in remote areas often face longer transport times when urgent care is needed. AAM aircraft could help bridge this gap by transporting patients, medical professionals, and critical supplies more quickly between hospitals and healthcare facilities.

Possible healthcare applications include transporting patients to trauma centers, delivering lifesaving medical supplies, supporting organ and tissue transport for transplant procedures, and enabling the rapid delivery of laboratory samples or pharmaceuticals. Because electric aircraft can be quieter and potentially less expensive to operate than traditional helicopters, AAM may expand access to medical air transport while reducing some of the barriers associated with current systems.
